Turning fashion into art

The new collection by Cantabrian designer Odette Alvarez fascinated everybody last Monday, during the fashion show organized by the Zaitegui boutique at the Hotel Santos Ibiza. Coats that are real craft pieces, jewel tops, spectacular dresses made from ethnic fabrics and furs: a costume that would make Scheherezade dream. “Her designs are like  jewels”,  said the popular spanish fashion blogger Angela Rozas Saiz, better known as Madame de Rosa, who is the new face of the brand. Many friends and fans attended the party (featured image):

The collection ‘Amore’ reflects “all the effort and passion that I put into every piece I do”, said  the designer. “All is handmade an most pieces are unique. I have used quality fabrics from countries such as Turkey, India, Pakistan and Morocco mixing with fur, leather, suede, velvet … I love these materials. I believe that this combination is what helps me to create something different”, said Odette.

Madame de Rosa said that she felt in love with hippy chic style of Tete by Odette. “It seems that the designer is stuck in my head and the result is that I love everything she does. Now I only want to wear her clothes all the time!,” she said.
