Ibiza Town is ready to travel back in time again. Eivissa Medieval fair is opening its doors on Thursday 7 of May. A medieval market with more than 150 stalls will be installed in the charming city of Dalt Vila. Also this year there will be more than a hundred of live shows on every corner of the old town, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
On Thursday at 7 pm, a parade will tour the market and will culminate in the inaugural show ‘Essence, air, fire, earth and water’, to be held at 9.30 pm at the Reina Sofia park. The fair this year is extended to Calle de la Virgen, in Sa Penya.
In the current edition there will also be exhibitions of Ibiza trades, inventions of Leonardo da Vinci, falconry and a children’s corner at the bastion of Sant Pere. People will can also enjoy the traditional Arabic dance, medieval music and street performances. As usual, there will be many medieval taverns and Arab tents serving food and drinks at the bastion of Santa Llucia.
