40 years of Es Canar hippy market

This year we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Es Canar hippy market, the bigger market on the island. Opened every Wednesday from April to October, from 10 am to 6.30 pm, here you can find more than 500 stalls of fashion and crafts. The place is very charming, surronded by pines and white bungalows.  Today Ibiza Trendy features this mythical meeting point of the hippies in Ibiza during the seventies.

New kids playground area on the market, where children can  participate in workshops and do nice souvenirs of Ibiza using recycled materials.

Adults can enjoy live music while relaxing in one of the many bars.

The beginnings of Punta Arabi Hippy Market dates back to 1973, when the Club Punta Arabi Hotel offered the hippies settled on the island or elsewhere in the world the chance to sell here their handicrafts. The market started with only five stalls,  live music and jam sessions.
